Tips on keeping your real Christmas tree in good condition

After we deliver your real Christmas tree, you'll want to look after it well to make sure you get the most out of it over Christmas. Non-drop nordmann fir Christmas trees generally hold their needles well, but there are some things you can do to give your tree the best chance of remaining in good condition.

- On delivery of your Christmas tree, stand it in water if you don't plan to put it up in a stand right away.
- When you put up your Christmas tree, saw between half an inch and an inch from the end of the trunk to help the tree take up water. If you want us to do this for you, select this option when you choose your Christmas tree.
- Use a water-holding Christmas tree stand and keep the water level topped up with plain water at all times.
- Don't place your Christmas tree close to a radiator or open fire or it will dry out.
- Christmas trees dry out more quickly in air-conditioned environments. If your office is air conditioned, it's even more important to keep the water topped up.
